Chris, have you considered that the young guy is aiming for the sign? Gary Gaetti is flipping to him, there is a camera on him, and he hits the sign. You are comparing this to a game swing of AP. The differences in elbow angles are due to pitch location - and they are from different views. Again, you have never used the device and your argument consists of a soft toss swing with a predetermined target compared to AP in game from a different angle. You keep talking about the BB and SB at higher levels... the kid is maybe 12. He has a process to go through. Get over the one swing by a youth player and try the device.

Yes, and as I said before, that's part of the problem.

He has to do a lot of problematic stuff to hit the ball back up the middle.

His swing would be better if he understood that a pull hook was actually the result of a good swing.

There is no reason why a kid has to push disconnect. Unlike bat drag, it's not a typical part of the process.

What some of us trying to tell you is that what you are terming "push disconnect" is an artifact of pitch location, and not the device.

You're wrong.

Hands ahead of the bat at contact (aka push disconnect) is one of the design goals, and is a simply miserable cue.

Here's Washington's Niki Williams going opposite field for a triple in the 5/28/2010 Super Regional tournament. Maybe you could tell her that she's wrong also.
