I've never really understood the technology of the half/half. If the barrel is aluminum, then why does it make a difference if the handle is composite? Wouldn't this be just like any other aluminum bat?

Changes the weight distribution. A conventional Rocketech is considered to be a -9 drop bat, whereas the Rocketflex (which has the same double-walled barrel as the RT), is considered a -10 bat. Lighter means faster and the same barrel swing faster translates to increased exit velocity/more distance. Physics aside, the RF performs.
For some, like myself, Anderson ceased to exist after c. 2014 when Steven Anderson was forced out. He considered the RF the best designed bat he ever made.
