The break on this type of pitch is a little different from what you see on a fastpitch one due to the changing air flow, it is not continuous from the release to the plate. If the spin axis is horizontal and in line with pitch direction, and the spin is clockwise, on the way up the ball will move to pitcher's arm side, one the way down the break will be in the opposite direction, to the glove side. Similar to a pop up at home plate, on the way up the ball will move backwards, over the catcher's head, on the way down it will reverse direction and move back towards the plate.
