I don't think of it as the only driver. I think its certainly a part of it. I look at it as the leg, hip, back, and stretched core that is contracted as well.The rear leg is part of all available resources but not the primary driver.
You stated yesterday when I asked what is the weight distribution once a player is fyb. You stated 60/40, 50/50 etc. , but once they get there then the shift is over and complete then the contraction of the core happens.Getting the shift out of the way leveraged fyb buys one time (slows the ball down) to get the barrel in the zone controlled.
