Has anyone used this? Do you recommend?
We use them on a consistent basis and they seem to help improve what they are designed to help. They were recommended to us by her coach and are part of the reason that her swing has continued to improve.
So this is different than a donut how...?

Is that a bat weight? Or am I just missing something?
Yes, they are bat weights. They come in three different weight set and you can hit with them on the bat.

My DD has had a set for a few years and used to use them quite a bit. They are different from a donut in that they rest at the top of the barrel allowing the hitter to use the weights while hitting off a tee or doing live hitting. The weight sits in a more balanced area on the bat that allows the player to swing without the weight at the end of the barrel which could cause the hitter to cast their barrel. These as well as the Swing XP training bat are excellent tools for improving bat speed.
