High School Schedule is out

We have 24 regular games, plus 3 tourneys, plus the state tourney. Depending on weather and on how the tourneys go, we will play 40 or more games. Last year we played 28.

DD has 5 scrimmages on the schedule and 21 regular season games plus the county, conference and state tournaments. Depending on how deep they go it could add 3-10 games. Enough for me considering it's basically every other day.

Geez, I feel like we are getting ripped off! Only 18 regular season games but we are playing a lot of scrimmages against tougher competition.

We have about 30 games on the schedule but weather eliminates about 5-10 typically. Last year only got in 19. Probably losing at least the first 6 this year. Don't envision playing in the next 10 days since there is still snow on diamonds...

Here in SW Ohio my dd's HS scheduled the maximum number of regular season games allowed (around 27). Our post-season tournament in Ohio is one and out.

CIF Southern Section limits us during the regular season to 20 "contests" that can be stretched to 31 games with 3 5-game tourneys and 2 DHs. The post season tourney is single-elimination for 38+ teams.

We're not limited in the fall or winter, so we played 20+ practice games from 11/15-2/27.

23 if playing only for the frosh team. Don't see her moving up this year since numbers are so low.

Travel will be way more games once we get started. Already played 4 scrimmages and plan another two this Sunday.

Played 53 last season. That includes regular season, HS tournaments, and playoffs.

24 regular season games this year including only (1) weekend tourney.
Difference being allot less weekend tourney's over last year.
I say halleluja! (given DD is the ONLY pitcher and trying to get back in the game after a serious overuse injury last year)
