DD lost a snap from her Easton helmet today. After failing to obtain a replacement, it occurred to me that batting helmet snaps look the same. I have a small pile of old helmets in the garage, and sure enough, a perfect match, both snap and screw.
In case I'm not the only one not to know this, it's a pretty useful trick in a pinch.
Another gift of hindsight is that a drop of Loctite would have prevented the whole problem.
