Does raising the elbow create the tip? as in not teaching a wrist movement to accomplish the tip? or?

The running start. This barrel tip movement is what i would like to see in my hitters. Thing is it can be copied with low level moves or high level moves.

Mann, for my hitters, it is a little of both. I've posted my dd hitting before and you can see it in her hitting. In that position, the back arm gets into that "ready to punch" position that I think helps my hitters get a running start. I hope I answered your question.

Can you feel the tilt happening in the rear hip?

Torso rotates up and away ... along with the 'short hand' usage ... leads to the stretch felt in the rear lower back.
