OrangeSocks - so yesterday I'm out in the yard, watering the garden cranking some tunes. Widespread Panic and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band (Live) comes on and all of a sudden I'm thinking about DFP and some of you characters. This place has seeped into the subconscious.... ;-)

He must have one of those Hydroponic gardens Core, wink wink! ;)
LOL!

It was 90-100 degrees out for days, ash was falling out of the sky and smoke filled the air...putrid. Then this winter storm warning came and I was covering the garden to protect from frost and snow and splitting wood to burn so I wouldn't have to turn on the furnace (which didn't work 'cause it got so dang COLD and we got almost a foot of snow!!). Sun finally came out today and snow's melting, back to the 80's this weekend....but it did help some with the fires!

Nice, I cranked a little Rush "All the Worlds a Stage" yesterday.
Went old school with Hemispheres yesterday, always thought the lyrics to “The Trees” was a definitely a social metaphor!

Music: Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson
Lyrics: Neil Peart

There is unrest in the Forest
There is trouble with the trees
For the Maples want more sunlight
And the Oaks ignore their pleas.

The trouble with the Maples
(And they’re quite convinced they’re right)
They say the Oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light
But the Oaks can’t help their feelings
If they like the way they’re made
And they wonder why the Maples
Can’t be happy in their shade?

There is trouble in the Forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the Maples scream ‘Oppression!’
And the Oaks, just shake their heads

So the Maples formed a Union
And demanded equal rights
‘The Oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light’
Now there’s no more Oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet,
Axe,
And saw…
