on a positive note, just learned that one of the players in that picture is walking on at her D3 school......so all 3 of those girls start college practice this week......2 other longtime players as well.....so 5 girls from my final roster are playing - and if you go back to my last year of 10u, there's 4 more (at least) including DD2 who will play in college from our little local travel group......makes me feel old, but still pretty cool

I coached a 12U team back in 2017 that was worse than Buttermaker's Bears. We played our local "travel" circuit, which was really just rec ball tournaments, and we finished the season 0-24. It was not a fun season, but I'm proud to say that of an original roster of 12 girls, 5 are either playing in college, or will. One D1, one D2, and three D3 players.
I guess we know who we can blame now...

i always say that my core group of girls taught me how to coach softball, versus me teaching them how to play softball
