I’ve only done drywall once, the measuring, cutting, and screwing to the wall, no problem. But like you, the taping & mudding….I’ll leave that to the professionals, they make it look too easy!
When I was a kid we never had a lot of money. We weren’t poor, but my Dad and Grandfather did just about anything that the house or cars needed done. A lot of that rubbed off on me so I do as much as I can around the house before calling in an expert. One thing I’ve learned is I don’t mess with is taping and mudding. It’s a true art form.
I had to call a guy to fix some ceiling spots. We have textured ceilings so right away me doing the repair was out. In just a couple hours he was done and after it dried you would have no idea a repair was done. Worth every dollar spent.
