Stober is a good pitcher but very young and inexperienced. My guess is that they are hoping she can turn into a solid number 2 and keep Nikki Anderson in the closer role. Nikki is a lefty and she can really bring it - upper 60s for sure. Stober got hit a lot harder this weekend than anyone expected, but give her time. But I do agree that they need to get solid pitching from someone other than Groenewegen.
