I see some all-forward/all-back in practice, and in game swing. Don't see much 'walking away' from hands.

JMHO..but, I believe Lauren gets 'separation'.

I agree, she gets great separation. But it doesn't appear she achieves this through what I'd call 'walking away from hands'. She separates while going back, not while going forward. Not saying she needs to change, but just trying to describe it.

There is a lot of forward movement taking place while the hands resist going forward.

Also, can anyone tell which bat she is using? Can't tell if it's a Freak Black or a wooden one.

I would not put to much emphasis on which bat she is using for BP....may just be a beater bat.

I think I've seen her use slow pitch bats at times.

I agree. I think the amount of hip movement makes the separation a little harder to see. But it is there.

Is it because of the 'hip slide'.

Sort of ...... I'll often see something similar to this front leg setup being taught in golf. Note how the front knee is worked to being over the front foot.

Sorry, wasn't trying to emphasize which brand of bat. Wondering more as to how much weight she's swinging in the example.
