Right Here For Now
This year we tried the Brax cups fundraiser. They come in all NFL, MLB and most major D1 colleges. This year they added travel mugs and popcorn. For $18 you get either 4 plastic tumblers, 2 travel mugs or a popcorn tub with 10 bags of microwave popcorn (all dishwasher safe). The team gets $6 for every set they sell and each player averaged 20 sales. The team brought in over $1500 with this one in 3 weeks of sales.

We have an annual Texas Hold'em poker tournament w/ silent auction items....we made about $11,000 profit last year. Every family is reprosnible to sell 10 $40.00 tickets to play (but many sell 15-20) and a silent auction item worth $100....we provide outstanding "all you can eat" food and get we adult beverages donated and it's a big party....100 plus players provide attractive prize money for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners....but the "buy-back-ins" really help add to the totals too....

can you give some specifics on the tournament? How much of the buy-in goes to the prize pool? How much of the rebuys?

Trivia nights are very popular around here. Donated items are put up for raffle, 50/50, etc. Tables of up to 10 players pay $10/person and are able to bring their own snacks. We hold it in a venue with a bar and drinks are purchased there. Ten rounds of 10 questions. Quite a bit of work and planning, but good money.

Just held our Quarter Auction last night. Just in donated items, food sales and a 50/50 the team walked away with $1300 profit and some very very sleepy 13 year olds. All in all a good night.
