On raffles, make sure you check with your state gambling commission and follow the rules. I know our state has very specific rules in place about raffles.
On that note, we did a pig raffle last year and my DD's team made over $3600 from it. Two first prizes of half a hog each. Cut and wrapped. It helped to have a friend donate the pig from their farm.
