Sorry to steal warriormike's thread but we're about to hit the road for 10 days of softball and wanted to post before we left. Kansas City this weekend for an ASA Gold qualifier and then on to Boulder/Longmont for the IDT next week. Anyone else going to Longmont? If so send me a pm and maybe we could meet up at the fields.

Looking forward to the trip as this will be the first time I've seen my dd's team in tournament action this year (been traveling with my DS watching baseball).

DD and DH are flying into Denver Sunday for the Fireworks. Will be DDs first time in Fireworks tournament...they are in the Power Pool. Last year, she played in the IDT, and it didn't live up to what everyone said about it. Not expecting much out of the Fireworks either...I am starting to think these tournaments are getting too much hype. LOL. Anyway, will be first time I didn't travel to Colorado...we had to divide and conquer so that at least one of us was with DD for each trip.

Oh and we are disappointed that they said to come in on Sunday, only to find out later that the first pool game is Wednesday morning. And no, we didn't pay extra money to play in any of the academic games or camps.

Local tourney for my 12U team this weekend...2 games tonight but I need the weather to cooperate tomorrow...

8U team playoff game tomorrow morning...

14U Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser tomorrow morning too...why her coach would schedule this during prime tournament time is beyond me...

Not as crazy as last weekend's 11 games but still pretty busy...CP

Nor Cal championships. First game at 10AM and hopefully second at 2PM. My daughter has been watching this tournament for 9 years, finally getting to play in it.

Local 12U tourney for us. This tourney was the first one we won in our first year of 10's and the first time we had beaten our 02 sister team and another top 02 team in the state. That put us on the road to a great second year in 10's so I am hoping we can start that trend again going into our second year of 12U. We are further ahead of the curve as first year 12's than we were as first year 10's so I hope that's a good sign.

I do wish we were in Atlanta playing in the Elite Futures Showcase. It's a great group of teams and we have had the chance to play a lot of them already this year. It will turn out to be a great weekend of softball.

Local 12u tournament might not do the full tournament just got word last night our Ace pitcher is our for 2 months due to back injury. Not excited either being that we have a Nationals tournament in 3 weeks. We have two back up pitchers but both have been struggling with pitching endurance. Wish me luck this weekend.
