My DD is currently playing her third season of 8U Rec Ball as a 7 year old. Last season she had numerous doubles and triples but never finished the lap. After spending the past winter in the batting cage along with a lot of T drills, soft toss and a new Xeno, she crushed one last night approximately 160 feet, 30 feet past the CF, and then it rolled forever. I was coaching third and all I could see was her smile as she rounded the base and headed home. Yeah, it was inside the fence and it was 8u rec ball but she is thrilled with her first HR. She stopped and hugged me on the way back in the dugout and asked if we could practice more this week. Looks like we're rained out tonight, so back to the batting cage...
