I have seen a catcher accidentally let one get by and hit the umpire in the mask. That sure woke that blue out of his slumber.

I wouldn't suggest that. Did you here about that exact thing happening in baseball a couple of years ago? Pitcher and catcher both had full ride college scholarships revoked because of it.
