At 16A/18A Ive seen this tried 3 times. 2 times the umpire called the B and R3 out for a rule they cited and interference. It tied to the word deception which Ill have to look up.

All 2 times my players went after the runner at 3 knowing who the real target is in that play.

Then the umpires who called a violation have not read the case plays and rule clarifications.
