How does your team determine the DP/FLEX, who is utilized for those roles, and do you always use the same players for those roles in all tournaments (pool play and bracket play)? Thank you!

We never use in pool play, but do sometimes use in bracket. If we use it's to get a kid in the game who is a good fielder but not a good hitter. We'll often have her as the Flex and use our the Pitcher who is a good hitter, fast but a terrible fielder as the DP. It allows her to rest but we get to keep her bat. We will also use DP if someone has an arm injury where they can't throw, but can still hit.
NSA now has a new rule called the twin rule. It's similar, but even better for the team as you can switch the 2 any time you like. It allows you to take a bad slow fielder with a great bat and have her hit. Then you can have the twin run for her when she gets on. You can even switch them during an at bat.
