Looking at picking up a Xeno. I see that a 2011 Xeno is about 1/2 the price of a 2012. Is there a significant performance difference between the two?

... also DD is 5'7" 112lbs. Would you suggest 33/23 or 32/22?

Thanks.

Assuming you will still have a good warranty I would go with the '11.

Have your DD swing a demo in the different sizes and let her decide. If it doesn't feel right to her it doesn't matter what others say.

have 11 zeno

have zeno 32/22 2011 great bat lots of pop but weights over 23 oz on scale. have 2012 catelyst 32/20 another great bat with tons of pop. weights 20.5 oz totally believe in these bats but they are heavy. demarini c4 32/22 weights 22 oz on the nose easten stealth are awesome also but havent scaled one yet. honestly would buy a catelyst bat for your daughter she wont bee dissapointed and prices should drop sooon.

I heard the 12's have a higher frequency of breaking at the handle. Nothing to verify that, but that's what I heard.

Ended up getting a 2011 Xeno new from eBay for $171 which includes shipping. It should be here tomorrow. The sale included a receipt for warranty purposes. Can't wait for DD to give it a try.

Bought my dd one a few weeks ago, and wondered about the same thing. Everyone who had tried both, told us the 12 seems to have a bigger sweet spot. DD likes it enough that the Phenix is collecting dust in her room, so I guess that's all that matters.

What size did you end up getting? My 14 yo DD has used the 2011 since last October and absolutely loves it. She's 5' 2.5" and 113 lb, uses 32/22. We just bought a 2011 33/23 to keep until next year. We didn't want to take a chance on not finding one - she loves it that much. If she's ready for it next year, we'll have it at a good price. If she's not ready, we'll probably sell it. I also heard the 2012 break more easily.

Looks like I can get an 11 XENO for @$130, including shipping. I am worried even the smallest of their bats 30/20 is too big for DD, especially if they actually come in a little heavy.

Probably get an 11 clarity 30/20 for @$90, including shipping, instead.

Then again when I mentioned to DD that we might get her a new bat, she said she not want one. She liked her bat, $30 Wal-Mart hand me down. :)
