Deliberate swing and miss on a wild pitch for strike 3

This happened to us in a championship game. Defensively, We had one out and a Runner on 3 & a change up that was so in the dirt. Batter swings for strike 3 and the catcher blocks the ball but has been instructed not to throw behind the runner. She holds The ball. Runner on first and 3rd with one out, we lost by 1. This was 12u & now at 14u we would throw the runner out at first and try for home. Seems like dirty ball to me though. Still frustrating.

Getting on base on an error wouldn't help your OBP, it would lower it.

Really? I thought obp didn't matter how you got on. It would definitely lower you BA
