You never know! I know a team here in Tx that had 3 of their pitchers out for Covid for 2 weeks. Their Sr Outfielder has pitched more than any other pitcher on the team. 53 innings. She was even the pitcher of the week for her conference. We have a girl on our TB team who I wish would have looked at mid-majors for pitching vs OF. She cruises at 62 with great movement but wasn’t really given a chance to pitch her freshman year of HS because her team already had a girl who was their designated pitcher. She really developed over her sophomore year as a pitcher and of course Covid hit. If she pitched for her HS she’d probably be one of the top pitchers in the area - she’s that good. However, she has focused her recruiting more on being an OF (which she is also extremely talented - no fear).
This kid is a legit pitcher, one of the best HS-age pitchers I know of in SEPA - It’s too bad no one will get to see it.
