Batting gloves

My DD doesn't like to bat without gloves. Said the bat doesn't feel as good. Lol

Batting gloves are for protection when running bases aggressively, especially the dive back. (you know, to the proximity of the fielder's cleated feet...the layer of leather is far better than nothing!)

This is the main reason for wearing batting gloves during a game IMO, and the reason she should use them when batting is because she becomes the batter-runner.

Others have already mentioned the other good use for them...practice reps and reps and reps.

Yep. Practice reps and base running. My girls get hundreds of swings a week and are expected to dive back aggressively and slide head-first when that is the best course of action. I like the protection of batting gloves for all of it.
