My DD used a 32 -10 all the way through her junior year in HS and did just fine was 5'5 120 lbs at the time.
Definately second the ONE inch and ounce at a time, unless something is really off...and the drop 10 thing too....in fact I'm with the sticky that post pretty much covers everything although I have never done the shoulder measurement thing.
