Bat drag fix

I have seen a couple of internet hitting guys say that squeezing the top hand will cure bat drag? Has anyone experimented with this?

What do they mean by squeezing the top hand? Just gripping the bat tighter?
I'm not sure how that would really help, without grabbing a bat and checking it out. I guess they're thinking that by concentrating on the top hand, they will get it through the zone quicker, and not lag behind the elbow?
