Bat big end weight data

Here are the bats we tested this year. I'll post the numbers from the 33" Ghost Advanced this weekend. Big end % is the percentage of total weight on the big end of the bat.

Selecting a bat is as much about weight as it it length. However, bats aren't always the same weight on the sticker - sometimes by a lot. Knowing the ACTUAL WEIGHT of the bats we're shopping for may help in finding the right fit for our DDs. UPDATE 04/11/23...With my DD no longer playing the...

What is your method for measuring “big end %”?

Think others have said it too based on feel, that FNX weighting just looks outta place. Would think it would be more similar to insane though not comparing apples to apples (33 vs 31).

DD has both the 2019 CF Zen and 2019 FNX in 33/-10... Believe it or not, the balance point of the FNX is actually CLOSER to the knob than the CF Zen... That was unexpected as the common knowledge is that it is "end loaded" (even demarini says its not end loaded)

I've done over 50 bats the past 2 years and will be making it a side business in 2020. Unfortunately I can't share our process for weighing at this time because I want to build my client base. I weigh the bat 4 times. Dirty, clean, bare and as delivered. Grip thickness and length can contribute +/- .5 ounce. Power hitters should never need a grip longer than minimum of usually 12".

The Phoenix FNX was supposed to replace the Insane but 2 FNX's I weighed were nowhere close to having a high big end %.

We were excited about the new FNX until we hit with it and weighed it.
