Lake Norman Lightning 14U - based in Huntersville, NC
The Lake Norman Lightning is holding tryouts for our expanding organization based in Huntersville, NC. Our current 14U / Morgan is holding tryouts for highly competitive players looking to advance their softball skillset. This is a very successful organization led by Tommy Strahan, and we are looking forward to continuing that success this year with all our teams. The Lightning Team is currently associated with NSA, and Top Gun, and soon ASA. This is a fundamentally strong team with girls from all the areas surrounding Charlotte & upstate South Carolina.
The most important element we are looking for in recruiting players is "TEAM" attitude & mindset. Tryouts can be at our team practice facility or private workouts are also available.
Our 14U LKNL Team is looking to add the right '02/'03 players for the remainder of the 2016 summer/fall season and moving forward. We are in need of a pitcher(s), fast outfielders and/or utility daredevils! We prefer players with the goal to master at least 2 positions on the field (ex. infield base position & outfield position, pitcher/catcher & infield, pitcher/catcher & outfield, etc.) The pitcher needs to have control of 3-4 pitches and be able to hit her spots, be very competitive and have a solid defensive glove. Fielders & utility players needs to have speed, be aggressive, and have a strong and accurate arm. We are looking for strong bats. We can develop girls into stronger players through our training. We are looking for girls that have a passion and desire to play at the next level.
We look to develop young women into leaders in the classroom, in their schools, in their communities, and on the softball field for both their school team & Lkn Lightning.
During the off-season, we continue our workouts in our Weight Room & with CrossFit where we focus on developing speed, strength, and agility.
