I haven't read the entire thread, so sorry if I'm repeating, but especially at that level, hire great people first, and then teach them what you want them to do. Find coachable people of high character not just the dad/mom who tells you "they played in college". The last thing you want is someone who is going to do their own thing and not teach your philosophies.

I'm not saying don't learn from each other or its your way or no way, because there is always something to learn, but ultimately your name is next to where it says "head coach". If there are any issues, you're the one people are going to come to, and it will be your responsibility.
