My daughter tried it. (12U) I think she hit decent with it. The one she had was a 30/20 and we probably should have ordered the 31" the bat seemed small - could be the color-- Either way - she didn't care for it. As far as "pop" she gets way more off her Demarini CF6 -11. That's our take on it. Maybe if she got it good and broken in ?? but she just didn't want to use it. Maybe it's better for the older players.
So first impressions from DD's hitting session this morning. Good sound and feel. Weight feels a little more towards hands than end of bat, bat is sold as "balanced", so I guess that makes sense. They did a lot of drills and not a lot of front toss, but she did make some solid contact. Her comments after said it felt "good"
More hitting tomorrow during 2 hour team practice. I may try to get some swings on it today off the tee with some old slowpitch balls to try to open it up a little.
Good friend of ours uses it for her college team because they are sponsored by them. She used to use Xeno but said it's a really good bat and hit her first home run in college with it (she's about 5' 2").
My DD has a Quattro. She received it to replace a 2 Legit. Has only hit it indoors so far as we have been inside. She really likes it. Great balance and a good pop.
Update from yesterday's team training. After practice we grabbed a cage and I front tossed her about 50 balls. I liked the pop, she hit some solid line-drives back up the middle. The sound is a little like a Zeno but not as "glassy", definitely a little higher pitched that her Combat Portent or a CFx. She will continue to use it in heavy rotation to try to get it broken in a little. No dimple balls or tires yet, the old Combat works for those.
DD has one (33/23) she used for almost all of fall season. Got a good deal from core on it. She previously swung a MFB 33/23. According to DD the two swing almost identical and seem to have identical POP. She carries both to tournaments and uses either depending on her mood.
Just purchased the Quatro, DD still uses her 2015 LXT 32-22, when she starts using the Quatro,32-22 Ill fill you in (bought Rawlings after reading the posts on how Wilson-Louisville Slugger- screwed Core with obvious price fixing, no respect for sincere sales people, and no respect for the informed softball family)
