Opposite and equal action. Darn science.
A change of direction. Simple.
For the most part I believe the hands are being moved back instead of the hitter moving the hands back. Don't mind the hands being hidden behind the hitter(back from the plate) a little as long as the hitter has good posture providing space for the hands to do what they need to. JMHO
As long as the bat is where it needs to be at launch it doesn’t matter. You see this sort of thing all the time in MLB.Much less so in FP because it seems that girls get overcoached more than boys or at the very least actually listen to the person trying to overcoach them....I don't know how anyone hits anything with so much unnecessary bat motion prior to the actual swing.
Oh but there is space for the hands to work, regardless where you start the hands, they are always lined up to the front shoulder and over the back foot. The shoulders are angled, not the hands.

I mean a lot of coaches "coach" athletic movement and personal style (which is all what you are talking about is) out of young girl's swings...I'm not sure what you mean about FP being "overcoached" regarding bat movement.
