I do not think there is one answer for this because the rest of the rosters batting average play the significant role in the decision.
As well the strength of the pitching roster.

Ok it sounded like you were implying that somebody said a pitcher just needs to be an average hitter for it to be worth it but as usual with you I guess I misunderstood..my apologies.

Bahl has 32 ABs this season but none in the postseason. Kilfoyle has 30 ABs this season, but she did hit against Oregon. I think the last dominant pitcher who hit was Cagle, but she got bounced last weekend.

When We had a Hitting coach from Georgia come up he told my daughter in his accent...

"ehhh what are you doin here pitcher, back from where I'm from pitcher dont' waste time at team practice or hitting, they PITCH all the time"
