So, yesterday I was talking to a friend who is also an AC of another team. He told me an interesting story.
Runners on 2B and 3B. Batter flyball to center field and caught and runners tag up and advance one base. Batter makes it to 2B and starts to come back to the dugout, but 1B AC says to go back to the base. Apparently the umpires and everyone else were watching the runners and didn't pay attention to the fly ball caught. Next batter up and play resumes with previous batter still on the field at 2B. The team proceeded to score 2 more runs. Other team was doing the book.
Should the AC on 1B have said something? Interesting how no one saw the fly ball caught, except the batter and the 1B AC.
