3rd base tag ??

what's the proper position for a 3rd baseman laying down a tag on a runner? where should she be set up? and where does she place her feet?

Assuming a righty 3rd baseperson.

Her right foot is the key. Her right foot should be in front of the base @ 6 inches towards second. Her left foot should be pointed towards the thrower with the normal separation between her feet, exception being if the throw comes from the catcher. If it is coming from the catcher the 3rd baseman should have the same separation of her feet but their left foot should be planted at about a 45% behind the baseline towards 2nd base, giving the catcher a big target.
