12u travel cut off dates?

My daughter will be 12 sept 2011, tryouts are aug 15, she can she play 12u this fall and spring, but since try outs are in aug can she play 12u next fall and spring? What are the cut off dates?

For ASA, a player's age on 12/31 of this year determines her age-eligibility for the next calendar year.

In your DD's case, because she turns 12 in September 2011, she will still be 12 on 12/31/11, meaning she will be eligible to play 12u for all of 2012. I would suggest looking for a 14u team (or 12u moving up to 14u) during her late summer tryouts in 2012, though.

Correct. She will play the entire 2012 season as a 12U. Good luck. Look for a 14U team, this same time next year.
