I know...everyone's child is destined to start for Florida.
But, how about an inspirational story from Western Michigan: Jordan Kurth.
Jordan is a great kid...very hardworking.
She didn't get a start on her HS softball team until her junior year. She didn't become a regular starter on her HS team until her senior year. She played for a "lesser" TB team.
She never complained and never stopped working. In her junior year, she would pitch to her Dad at the field after games she didn't pitch. She was always trying to get a little better.
And, surprise, she actually listened to someone who knew more than she did about pitching.
She developed great control, and an absolutely stellar change up. (It is one of the best I've seen.)
Congrats to a kid who never stopped trying to be better.
