Chest Protector / Heart Guard Question

My DD will be pitching for her JH school team and the coach told them that all pitchers must wear a heart guard. I'm fine with that, and have been thinking about buying her one the past few years.

The last thread I could find on this was from last March, and everyone seemed to like the EvoShield. Is that still the case? Since everyone liked it, I'm assuming that it doesn't inhibit the pitching motion, right?

Thanks!

DD has been wearing the Evoshield for several years now with now problems pitching.

My daughter started wearing the evoshield a year ago at 14 and she wouldn't even consider not wearing it now which is great because I thought she would balk at first since she doesn't like extra layers typically. It's great because the pads mold to their body shape. I recommend the one with the back/kidney pads too and not just the chest guard

Mine is 12U and has been wearing an evoshield since she was 9. I would recommend ordering in directly through them and make sure that you get the women's tank style. Also, get the version with just the chest protector and not the one that has the back pads since she will not need those. My son also wears this for baseball, he has had 3 cardiac surgeries and his cardiologist okayed this.

Any guidance on size? Looks like I am going to have to order online as no one stocks the youth sizes.

10.5yr old average sized girl that would normally wear a YXL under armour type tshirt.

Have you looked at Dick's sporting goods? For Softball related purchases I buy online 99% of the time but the Evoshield is the one thing I've bought at Dick's. Remember this is a compression shirt, you want it tight and not sag down around the neck.
Well maybe I need to reconsider the Dick's purchase, Evoshield online is $20.00 cheaper !
Here is a sizing chart.
