Rick can friggin throw....

I am having flashbacks to all of the junk I read as I wandered the pitching desert prior to arriving at the oasis that is DFP....I think I saw all of these clips at one point or another.

Oh, the "push-the-ball" is alive and well among those with their heads in the sand. There are sure a lot of people with there heads in the sand. In fact, relatively speaking, I think it's rare to find someone who sees the light.

Do this??? OF COURSE DO THIS!

Sarcasm alert....

"Gosh, how in the world can you throw strikes when your forearm and hand aren't staying on the path of the target. Here, we'll help you fix that."

RUN AWAY!

On the bucket
There are so many that teach one thing yet do another when actually pitching.
Slow motion cameras and analysis software has made this much more apparent in the last few years.

Reciprocal ADDuction is why I explained the importance of ADDuction in another thread.........ADDuction utilizes the lat muscles to pull down the humerus in front of the forearm........Being too closed to the target causes the body to use the deltoid muscle over the shoulder to EXTEND the arm to the target vs. PULLING IT down toward the target........

I was recently asked to visit a PC's lesson to help with a 12yo student's understanding of "throwing across body"..........And why.......

She is starting to make advances in the I/R delivery motion.......This was a critical "next step" for her........
