You guys got any cues you use to feel the scap load? Im leaning towards saying knob of the bat to catcher and go? Should scap load begin slowly as soon as pitcher moves or should it occur during stride? I would like to be able to cue the scap load first and then stride.

Maybe more seasoned members will have a better explanation, but from my understanding is the scap load occurs during the stride/seperation. The batter should start the "Gather" with the pitcher.

There is no 'loading'/load of the scap. What loads, unloads......

So entire backside (Scap, lats, lower back, hip, rear but cheek) is loading into and around a resisting back leg. If I am feeling this correctly.. will I feel a lot of tension on inside of rear leg, rear groin and rear quad?

You should not purposely attempt to load the rear scap. The 'feeling' of the rear scap 'becoming' compressed against your back should occur through proper muscle tension/looseness. It is a 'result' that can be 'felt' at 'swing launch'.

I think I understand. It should happen naturally. To me it happens when trying to keep the shoulders from flying open and also keeping hands from firing before the hips. Keeping shoulder closed and hands back when hips start creates the "load in the scap." Am I on the right track?

So how do we get the feeling of hands/scalp load during the stride? I understand weight on in step of back foot and feeling of turning back butt check towards pitcher during load. Want to get some cues for upper body mechanics. Seems like y’all are saying the lower body will contract the upper body when lower body loads properly?

We have a poster here that advocates that. I personally recommend against that.
