I'd say to the hands.....

I'd say a little higher...the inner rear thigh. The 'flexed' knee is the effect. Not the cause....
Did you read the blog?

I have to find the topic you sent in his blog, the link wasn't working. He does have a new blog on 5frames. I will look into the blog.

Gotcha the hands. So you stretch the spirals through the back leg and that loads the hips correct?

Shawn, respectfully, I'd shift the focus from things that "are moved" (knee, hips) to things that cause or create the movement, ie, the engines. I happen to think the same thing about the core -- it "is engaged" as the result of other active, thoughtful movements, it doesn't engage as a primary engine. IMO, you don't actively "core pulse" but no doubt the core "is pulsed"...

In the model, as I understand it, the leg is the driver, the lower back and scap pullback tighten the links and the hips resist opening but ultimately "are rotated" as the hands turn the barrel rearward instantly (snap) and the driving leg catches the barrel and whips it to contact...

What are those "other active, thoughtful movements"?

Hitting is balance.. If one is caught over one leg (back or front doesn't matter) when attempting to react to different pitches in the zone what are the chances of getting off a good swing ? Both legs better be there to support the different pitches.
