Ok, interesting. Not saying your wrong or whatever. Neither team I watched was hitting the ground with it. The one coach I see regularly and I will bring it up to him. Thanks for the info.

Using the ball chucker thing as a hitting drill tool is not a new thing, and is typically used exactly as you described. The issue, however, is that it encourages an action that doesn't match what is happening in the swings of the best hitters.

This is a very obvious must change to me. Look at her hands in video 2 the soft toss swing. The top hand has no Dorsiflexion (maybe the right term). I am not for knuckle alignment but the hands are rotated way to opposite of each other for the arms and hands to work together. Look at some common alignments at launch. That's not THEEE fix but it must be addressed. hands.JPG hands 2.JPG

I would love to see a video of this. If using the dog toy 'correctly' the ball should be throw into the ground almost to the side and behind the hitter. Used in correctly should 'goes into the net'.
Dog toy creates an 'out front swing'. JMHO.
Where would the tennis ball go on this swing if Pujol was using the 'dog toy'.

If the bat head is accelerating through the zone, wouldn’t the ball stay in the device until deceleration? Wouldn’t that occur during the “out from”, or even follow through, portion of the swing?

(Note: The change from ‘out front’ to ‘out from’ was intentional to try and understand things in the context of a correct swing pattern)

I think we donated the device we had - so I haven’t been able to try this drill yet myself.

Not here.
So are you calling me an idiot, a liar, or blind?

Added: Here's what I said.
I'm sure they were. It's just not in my opinion of a HL swing pattern.
I was agreeing with you but, I said that I didn't believe it's what a HL hitter does in their swing.
Added; I see that I'm the idiot yes me...I re-read my post and I meant to say...
I'm sure they WEREN'T instead of WERE. I meant to say they were doing the drill as you described but, not a drill that I would be doing.
I apologies for any misunderstanding.

No biggie, cool and good luck.

I think what might help Buckeye is if we had a video of what a swing would look like if someone swung at a pitch the way you have to swing the toy to make the ball go into the net. Any bad swing GIFs floating around out there for a comparison?

Seeing that contrast might make the light go on.
