Seems (significantly?) different. Is this just a case of front toss swing vs. game swing (couldn't find a game swing from 2017) or did
FSU change her swing a bunch (for the better imo) ?

Also helps when a real pitcher gives you more than 4 seconds between pitches. Were they worried a prospective coach would get bored and stop watching?

Agree on the swing - looks much improved. If I had saw just the recruiting video, I would never have guessed “future DI player”.

She was the Gatorade player of the year in the state and had some ridiculous batting average her senior year so she was obviously good in HS but yes that skills video doesn't really
do her any favors.

She gained weight, probably muscle due to the college workout program. When a player gets stronger her swing will get better. More connected and less slack. I am sure there was some coach help too.

Original video was posted in 2013. 5 years can do some pretty decent things with DNA and a lot of hard work.

Ahh..I read that as 2017 was when it was taken but should have read it as graduating year...my bad. Makes more sense now

First hard to see where pitch is definitely at and what type of pitch. If change up that may explain some things) hands dropping and directing first). If fast ball then there are some problems . I'm going to say down the middle and fast ball for my critic.
No..not swinging 'around' her body. Just because the hands continue 'out from' her body and not 'around' her body. Hands drop, level, and 'direct' first. Hands move forward before 'turning the barrel'. I'd even go as far as to say she is 'fighting' 2 styles. Merry-go-around and Tilt-a -whirl. I'm guessing was a slapper at some point but, I don't know her as a hitter. That's my thoughts Shawn.
I watch her swinging during the WCWS and did like her swing though.

Added:Shawn not sure why you care about my opinion(I'm flattered). I'm not a hitting coach, never gave a lesson, and have no students. I only work with my DD who is an OK hitter & fielder on a DIII school. So, take it for what is worth. I guessing not much.....

You may not think your a hitting coach, but you've helped alot of kids with your input and knowledge. My DD'S included!! TY RDB
