My daughter has a 28/16 Easton FS400 and a Demarini CF7 29/18 for warm weather games. Looking to upgrade the Easton FS400. Looking to buy used 28 or 29 / - 11 or 12.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Check out Combat, they are pretty cheap and work well. My DD has one for backup / cold weather (-11). She kept denting Easton Alloys and I got tired of returning them. She has used it with dimple balls and cold temps, no issues.

Which combat model do you have?

Sorry, we actually have a drop 10 - model is TCSFP210. Very balanced and true to weight (it was less than .5 oz difference than the same size CF8 drop 11). Paid less than $50, seems most of the Combat Fastpitch bats are pretty cheap right now, drop 10, 11, or 12. I am not sure I would pick one up as a game bat, but it has been great as a cold weather backup bat. Went thru three FS300s and one FS400, every one of them dented and they were only used with real softballs in warm weather.

My DD also dented 3 FS300 but she didn't have any trouble with the FS400...But then again she stopped using it when she moved up to the -11. She wasn't hitting as hard when she used the FS400. The FS400 is made of higher grade 7050 alloy. I personally don't think the 28/16 FS400 is a bad backup bat. You might try the FS200 29/19...Or perhaps one of the the new -10 Rawlings alloy bats. It would get you close to the true weight of your 29/18 CF7.

One word of caution about the aforementioned Combat. That is a 1 piece bat and most every one piece composite bats perform really well but they also can cause handle sting. Cold weather would simply make this worse. This is how my DD ended up with her first LXT. Also, unless your DD is really a hard hitter I wouldn't worry too much about the CF7.
