Recommend a new bat for my 12 DD's birthday?

She's turning 12 in July. Small, lean yet strong for her size. 4'10" 85 lbs. She has a quick bat and some gap power.
She's been swinging a TPS zephyr 31/19 for the past year and a half. I think she can handle a 20 or 21 so was thinking a 31 -10 would be a good choice. She likes the Easton Synergy speed because it has the lime green lettering..lol.
See it online for $200. Can get a CF5 for $250 and see a lot of those so wondering it it's worth the extra. Heard/read good things about the Miken Freak -10 as well which I see listed at $300. Really wondering if at her level and size does it really make enough difference to justify paying more, particularly since she likes the synergy because of it's color as seen in a catalog. I've heard people talk about 1 piece and 2 piece bats and wonder if she would benefit from one or the other.

The Synergy Speed comes in -10, so she would need a 31/21. My DD has the Miken Freak NXT -10 and LOVES it! She had the Synergy Speed briefly last summer and absolutely hated that bat, so we ended up selling it and she used an old aluminum Adidas bat. If you look on Ebay, you can find the 2013 Miken Freak NXT for $215 with free shipping. IT comes with a valid warranty receipt.

Thanks crystlemc! Could you tell me what it was about the synergy speed she hated and what it is about the miken freak that she loves? Trying to understand what makes one bat better than another since the entry level zephyr was our first composite bat purchase. Even using that bat myself to hit flies for practices I notice such a huge difference compared to alum. bats.

DD got a 2013 CF5 Insane 31" 21oz in the middle of May and all I can tell you is wow!! The pop on this bat right out of the rapper is unbelivable. After one day in practice DD hit 2 over the fence (175ft fence DD is playing 10U) other players also used it that day and rocketed balls to the fence and over the fence.

They now call it the magic bat... LOL.

Close out bats has some sizes of cf5 for $199.

She said it just didn't feel right. She said the Freak has a nice balanced feel to it and it has great pop. Plus, it looks cool...lol.

12 year olds these days like the twilight movies. Clearly the correct answer is to get her a vampire bat.
