NFCA National Convention

The 2018 National Fastpitch Coaches Convention is Dec 5-8 2018 in Chicago, there are also other classes before and after the event.

This is the last few days to register before the price goes up on Nov 1st.

I think everyone would love this event. I went last year in Vegas and will try to go every year. It has a great exhibit hall with tons of venders. Tons of workshops through out the time and social hours to get to rub elbows with some of the best in the world.

I have always wanted to go to this and hope to get there in the coming years. It would be very cool to attend and rub elbows and soak up knowledge.

It is awesome, having breakfast with Ralph and Karen Weekly, or chatting with Mike White about slow motion videos of certain pitchers, talking with Jennie Finch is always a top sell, and the list can go on and on.

The main thing is everyone is open to talk to you and they will. Previous years I was signed up as a HS coach and it did not matter, the DI and DII coaches still chat with you. The vender floor has every new gadgit you can dream of and all the big venders are there showing their big $ stuff. To get to try Right View Pro or Rapsodo or whatever you're dreaming about as your next toy.

A highlight last year was a FCA fireside chat with Dot Richardson and Patty Gasso and their husbands on how they coach and still have thriving family lives. Lots of personal one on one conversation time there...

It's always this time of year that I wished I had gotten an exhibition booth booked..... But unfortunately we will not be there...again. Definitely something we want to do eventually.
