Default ITS HOT! Just play in shorts!

Watching the WBSC World on Flosoftball and the South Africa team is playing in shorts just like many used to.

This summer on the ASA circuit and at ASA Gold Nationals a Texas team played in shorts.

Obviously, sliding is the issue, but they had sliders on underneath and a knee pad on one leg or the other. Just thinking to myself, it is 110 degrees outside and shorts probably isn't a bad idea.

I actually kinda like the idea for dead of summer. Any thoughts on this?

When I played travel ball (16-20 years ago ) we played in shorts as did almost every other team. Fast forward to now and all teams play in pants. Not sure when it changed....I feel like pants look better but are probably a bit hotter!

We knew of a team that played in shorts. The parents wore shirts that said “Fear the shorts”. Ha! They were GOOD too!

We did see a Texas team in shorts this year at the WFC in KC.

I bet that was Blaze . They wore shorts often.

I’m not sure how shorts work with sliding.
Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

shorts look so unprofessional. Nothing beats a sharp looking uniform with pants. I even saw a team with actual stirrups at Ring Neck Showcase Tourney in Sioux Falls
