Fastpitch on grass infields?
Grass?...um...NO! That game is called baseball. My experience with indoor turface isn't that bad. Played a winter tourney indoors and the surface was very quick. I liked the true hops and smoothness. Newbie Just doesn't know what to do!
Exactly what Sluggers said!! 10u/12u kids that have an awsome bat get scooped up faster than a solid defender who doesn't hit well PERIOD!! My advice is get her a good hitting coach(shop around PLEASE....spend the $$$ on private lessons instead of a $300 bat!!) At the same time shop around for...- D.G. OutLaws 16u

Opinion's about 1st and 3 rd situations
!8u A/Gold All depends on situation as to what play were going to run...the score, inning, # of outs, time, base runner speed. we yell out 1 of 4 plays...to pitcher...to 2b cutting...a regular throwdown to short getting runner at 2nd....or a throw to SS( i like this play best, the runner on 3rd...- D.G. Tag plays
Staying in front of the base (towards pitchers circle) at every base is a good starting point for each infielder. They react to the throw, adjust,catch the ball and pop a tag down.- D.G. OutLaws 16u

As ihowser says....lots of variables. Each coach is different as theres no 'standard', must call this play when ________(insert scenerio here) everytime said scenerio arrises. NSA World Series
There is no 'path' per say to the NSA WS....the bid you won basically paid for your entrance fee to Nationals....which is called NSA World Series If your asking about the WS tournament shown on ESPN> I've no clue where or how that path begins- D.G. OutLaws 16u

Handling the team bully
Unfortunately this is the ugly side of the coaching job. You spend a lot of time with each child and see all the good and all the not so good. A lot of the meet and great can be done via the phone. Your DD's 8yo, learning to harness her body, mechanics and mental thought processes. 43' to 40' adjustments
I thought 12u's are at 40' and 14u's switch up to 43'. I think nationally this is 'rule'. Unless its a local rec rule (which should get up to speed with the rest of the nation). I'm assuming your DD's a freshman....she should find the closer targets easier to hit. Only adjustments are what...- D.G. OutLaws 16u

NSA World Series
To play in NSA WS (Nationals) you HAVE to play in your NSA State tourny to qualify. Teams that never win a 'bid' yet play in the NSA state tourney are eligable for the WS....paying the heafty tournament fee. If you win a bid I'm pretty sure you can enter any regions NSA WS....not specifically...- D.G. OutLaws 16u

Fisrt off use caution as your 'in waiting' managers position could be wiped off the table. Since is out there allready it can soon become all for not. Your DD's highest number of games in a day?
We played 5 in same conditions at NSA Nationals last year in Chattanooga TN. It was survival of the fittest. Lost in semi's coming up through loser bracket in ITB. Tournament ball (18u A/gold) we typically play 4-6 games on Sundays....last summer we made the final 4 and beyond nearly every...- D.G. OutLaws 16u

I think your #7 batters gonna have the key at bat here. Swing away with #5, hope for the (1)go ahead runs with a solid base hit or a (2)sac fly for the tie or (3)walk. If #5 K's (or hits a dribbler to pitcher for easy out no play at home)or walks then bunt #6 (or pinch hitter here).... #7 comes...- D.G. OutLaws 16u
