12U "B" team here. 17 games into the season with 3 tourney's and some Friendlies. I did put us in a A/B tourney that was supposed to be split, got there only two "B" teams and got put into an A bracket. She is a 10U player. I talk to her (all the girls for that matter) to tell them to shake off the error and move on. I'm not one to get hot headed over a missed play or an error. In all the years I've coached..I have rarely ran into a leftie. But when I did..they were catchers so I knew what I needed to put them. Well, not this time. When you have a relly good parent
I had a parent like that last year on my travel ball team. It was awesome. He would cheer the same amount for all the girls as much as he did for his DD. Not all California Girls
SD Dad, I know it. I haven't had practice in over a week because of rain, mud and slop. It's nuts. I lost a few winter practices this year to due to a foot of sleet (Yes..foot of sleet that people were ice skating on in their yards) and more snow than you can shake a stick at. My Drill Sargent comment was about this particular organization run by a particular person that berates kids to the point of crying on the field and pushes kids and even his own daughter to the point of quitting because of his own unfinished agenda's in his childhood. Not all California Girls
I have seen this many times. That is why I have always said and practiced that a coach may have more influence of a child's life than their parents because we have NO idea what goes on at home for this kids. And as a coach we need promote a positive environment for them.- Kevin Merryman

The worst Place to Coach?
I've been coaching for over 12 years. I've done all age groups and different levels. The most fun I have ever had was my last years team which was 8U travel. That is the most innocent time.
