Hi all, since my daughter is about to start her freshman year, we are researching schools. She's preparing some emails. Should she email the head coach directly, or a member of the staff? I told her to research all divisions, all levels. Is this about where we should be in the game right now? She has attended a couple of camps, one last Fall that was a camp with various local college coaches. She was definitely on the younger end, a few coaches talked to her. Nothing really except for a "come to our university camps", stuff like that. One div 2 local school commented some nice things on her swing. Unfortunately the one summer camp they are having is exactly the week in July we are at Nationals. Her dream school is 800 miles away and they have a holiday camp between Christmas and New Years, I'm thinking about taking her. Could be a pretty cool experience.

We always cced the assistant coach as well. Obviously add anyone listed as a recruiting coordinator.

If it's her dream school, it's never too early to get her face in front of the coaches.

My daughter is the same, a 2021! Pretty much in the same boat as you, preparing emails. Sent one to a D2 school (coach) that she is attending there camp tomorrow, attached her profile sheet. He responded back within and hour thanking her for sending it and saying he was looking forward to working with her. She was pretty pumped about getting a reply back, so that was good for her! Went to several camps last year "just to get our feet wet" and have 3 with schools that she is interested in over the next 3 weeks. Plan to email coaches a few days before with profiles! Her list consist of 4 D1, 7 D2, 2 D3, and a NAIA so I guess that is a good start!!
