For schools there is a web-site that rates schools pretty accurately we used it when we moved from OC CA, also we checked the web for city demographics, population age, average incomes that sort of thing, read police reports online. Our city prints the police blotter for the week and it's filled...
All I have to say is try it yourself before you whine about us umps. Because every bitch you have about an ump I've got 10 about a coach or 20 and some of the other Jack @$$es we have to deal with. Not only do we deal with coaches but we have fans that think they know the rules, statements like...
DD was using the gold Synergy and often was accused of having an altered bat- My response was "Really look at what bat it is". She is very small but has had a lot of sessions with a very accomplished hitting coach.
redhotcoach is correct in the rules but detecting a hammered or rolled bat is near impossible. Usually when we do our pre-game bat inspections we look that it is an asa bat, round, cracks, etc. I'll look at the 2-piece connections by one hand at the knob and the other just below the connection...
The Synge may seem like a great bat if you are moving from $50 aluminum bat which comparatively it is but so are the $99 composites. When compared to other composites it really does not match up. For smaller bats I prefer the OG pink Halos which can be had for $130 shipped w/reciept, I just...
You try watching games the commentators will point out she should have done this or tried that. Sometime when there is nothing on tv I'll watch replays of games I didn't catch when they were aired on here; College Softball Videos - ESPN
In Spring went to a tourney at Texas Woman's Univ. and 9 out of 10 home runs were hit with RT's. DD did not take to a SCN5b but does like the RT so I have a NIW 30/21 SCN5B to get rid of now.
My DD doesn't have any issues doing it. Uses 30/20 1B for select and a 30/21 5B for rec. She did complain a little at first about the balance and weighting but overcame that her first bp.
About moving to a Xeno I'm not for or against any bat but like to get pre-ABI so,just going to post an...
I think the bat going dead is a symptom of the Post-ABI construction. Most of the pre-ABI bats required 500+ hits just to break them in and them continued to get hotter all the way up to catastrophic failure. That's why I prefer to buy older Eastons in great shape.
Some of the older umpires I work with have that attitude and have tried to instill it into us younger guys. I just usually adjust unless the catcher is just ridiculous.
Have a friend that coaches a salty 10U team out of Monroe, the LA Rippers and they will travel to play good competition. He may know handle is JALLEN on the fans site.
